SNMP Trap Inputs

You can configure NetFlow Optimizer to receive SNMP traps.

To set up SNMP trap inputs, follow these steps:

1. Click the ‘plus’ symbol to add a new input for SNMP traps
2. In the popup, enter the port, select credentials from a drop-down, or click ‘Add or edit credentials’ link to create new credentials

3. To create new credential, on the next screen find ‘SNMP Credentials’ section

and complete the form

For SNMP version v2c specify community string.

For SNMP v3 select ‘Security Level’, then enter ‘User Name’ and other paramters based on the selected security level.

4. Return to SNMP trap inputs configuration, and select newly created credentials from a drop-down
5. Click ‘Save’
